Minister of Water Development and Sanitation, Eng. Collins Nzovu, has visited Mulonga Water Supply and Sanitation Company Limited (MWSC) and reaffirmed Government’s commitment to improving water and sanitation services across the country.
During his visit to MWSC facilities in Mufulira, the Minister emphasized the importance of sustained investment in infrastructure development, noting that access to clean water and sanitation remains a key national priority.
“I am encouraged by the notable progress made in improving water supply and sanitation through ongoing rehabilitation works. However, more can be done, and I urge Mulonga Water to continue striving for even better service delivery,” said Eng. Nzovu.
The Minister also commended Mufulira Mayor, Mr. Tanaeli Kamanga, for his collaboration with the utility in enhancing service delivery. He further encouraged MWSC to strengthen engagement with local leaders by keeping them informed on key developments.
MWSC is currently implementing the Zambia Water and Sanitation Project, alongside other Government-supported initiatives, aimed at improving water and sanitation services in Chingola, Mufulira, and Chililabombwe.
